Official sources checked:

A presentation can become a conference talk, a lesson, a product introduction, or a training video. Turning existing slides into a narrated video makes that material easier to share.

Both Google Vids and SpeechSlide AI can generate scripts and narration from presentation material. This guide compares how they use your slides, how you edit the result, and what their plans include.

How each tool turns slides into a video

Google Vids imports a Google Slides presentation and turns its slides into video scenes. You can edit the generated script and add an AI voiceover. These features require an eligible Google Workspace or Google AI plan.

SpeechSlide AI creates presentation scripts, narration, and videos from PowerPoint or PDF files. You can edit the script to suit your message, whether you are preparing a talk or sharing information from an existing deck.

SpeechSlide AI pricing and allowances

The Japan plans cost JPY 2,200 per month for Standard and JPY 5,500 for Premium, including tax. Standard includes 10 projects and 30 video generations per month; Premium includes 30 projects and 90 video generations. Decks can contain up to 20 or 30 slides, respectively.

For example, creating two versions of a video from each of four decks uses four projects and eight video generations. Scripts and audio have separate allowances. See the pricing page for all limits and international prices.

What to check with your own slides

  • Choose slides that include a chart, a table, and terminology you use. To try SpeechSlide AI with the free allowance, use a deck of up to eight slides.
  • Choose the purpose of the video and generate a script. Read through it to check numbers and names, and edit any passages that need work.
  • Listen to the narration and watch the video. Check clarity, pacing, and whether viewers have enough time to read the charts.
  • Try changing one part of the explanation. The steps from revision to export will help you judge how comfortable the tool is to use.

Choose the tool that fits your material

If you create presentations in Google Slides, Vids is a natural option to evaluate. Check which features your existing plan includes.
